I believe this song is about a girl who falls in love with a boy she never knew shed have a chance with. This is about the girl being insecure and her knowing that he deserves better. Because of her insecurities she has has walls up and when she sings 'I believe that it's easier for you to let me go' shes saying that she doesnt want him to stay with her just for her to be happy because shes never going to be good enough for him, but at the same time she 'cant decide if she'll let him save her life, or if she'll drown'. This whole song is what she feels and how she feels about him, she doesnt believe she deserves him and she wants to see him happy so shes willing to leave him even if it hurts her.
